How To Actually Make Your New Years Resolution Stick

How To Actually Make Your New Years Resolution Stick

I'm sure many, if not most, of you have made new year resolutions and plan on sticking to them, right? But how do you work against the laziness, lack of motivation and procrastination that often cut New Year’s resolutions short?

In 2020 we want to turn those resolutions into habits and make this year the start of success. Success starts with you and what you want to improve and provide for yourself.

Here are a few things you can start doing to unleash the productivity beast and ensure your success.

1. Write everything down

When you write down your goals, you manifest them and speak them into existence. This also is a great reminder of something to work on during your free time. In the end, look back at what you wrote and see how far you’ve come and what progress you’ve made to accomplish your goals.

2. Establish a daily routine

It only takes about 2 months for a behavior to become a habit. Get a good, healthy routine going for your personal and professional time and watch how good you’ll feel about yourself.

3. Expect imperfections

Nobody’s perfect and you’re going to have your ups and downs but as long as you have your eye on the prize, nothing will get in your way. Learn how to properly confront your imperfections and how to learn from them and remember to always be nice to yourself.

5. You come first

Always take care of yourself first. Be sure that you’re mentally and physically capable of getting through the day and give yourself some ‘me’ time every once in a while. You’re no good to anyone else if you’re no good to yourself.

6. Reciprocate good energy

You get what you put out in the world. You can’t be mean and ugly and expect good things to come to you. Practice and share positivity and watch what you’ll attract.

2020 is going to be a great year and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

What are some resolutions or goals that you’ve set for 2020? Let us know.
