The Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask by Origins $26

The Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

I have a bad habit of falling asleep in my makeup. I know, please don’t shame me! Luckily, I was able to find a product that helps to refresh my skin. The Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask by Origins deep cleans to remove all built-up toxins from your pores. This mask is perfect for all skin types. Whether you have normal, oily, dry, or combination skin, this mask is guaranteed to leave your face feeling revitalized and breathable-- which is perfect for when you forget to remove your make-up. Whenever I use this mask, I can see a difference in my skin right away. Origins recommend that you use this mask twice a week but, it’s so powerful that I only use it when my skin starts to look dull and feel extremely oily. What I also like about this mask is that it’s 100% Vegan so, not only are we saving our skin from potential blackheads but, we’re saving animals as well! I picked up the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask at Sephora but, it can also be found on Origins.com.

Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay by Origins $26

Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay

Sometimes, my skin does this weird thing where it only looks rough and bumpy after I apply my foundation. Yes, I use a face primer but, primers only help to temporarily alleviate uneven texture problems. One product that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with is the Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay by Origins. I know what you’re thinking and no, this article isn’t sponsored by Origins, this brand is just THAT good! What I like about this mask is not only does it shrink pores and remove impurities but, it gently exfoliates. After just one use, it will have you feeling like you just hit the reset button on your skin. This mask will leave your face exuding radiance and feeling silky-smooth. I’ve been hesitant to try exfoliators on my face because of how sensitive my skin is but, the jojoba beads found in this mask are so soft that they are more seen than felt. If you have normal, oily, or combination skin I highly recommend that you give this mask a try. I promise it will become a staple in your skin-care regimen. I purchased the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay at Sephora (your girl is trying to get her Beauty Insider points up) but, you can also find this mask on Origins.com

The Sugar Kitten Hydrating Holographic Peel-Off Mask by I Dew Care $23

Dew Care

The Sugar Kitten Hydrating Holographic Peel-Off Mask

Who else has grown a strong dislike for peel-off masks? The peel-off masks that I’ve tried in the past have made me feel like I’m removing my first layer of skin along with it. Surprisingly, I’ve finally found one that has made me change my mind. The Sugar Kitten Hydrating Holographic Peel-Off Mask by I Dew Care brightens, calms, moisturizes, and improves elasticity. This mask is infused with powder from real rubies and pearls. Upon application, it gives off an iridescent glow that makes me feel like a unicorn goddess. No seriously, the colors are so pretty that every time I apply this mask, my confidence boosts. The removal process is painless and after my first use, my skin felt hydrated and soft. If you have oily skin, this would be a great product for you to try because it is alcohol-based. Although it will leave you with a matte finish, I wouldn’t use this mask too often because too much alcohol has been found to produce even more oil. Like Origins, I Dew Care’s products are cruelty-free and can be found at Ulta or on Amazon.com.

DIY Turmeric Face Mask

Turmeric Face Mask

Now, you already know I saved the best mask for last. “Why is it the best mask,” you ask? (BARS!) It’s the best mask because it’s the most affordable! Yes, sis, every ingredient in this mask can be found in your kitchen. Turmeric is a spice that is commonly found in Asian cuisine. It is also used to combat various diseases. To be completely honest, COVID-19 has influenced me to research different home remedies that can be used to treat illnesses and I found out that Turmeric helps with depression, high cholesterol, heartburn, stress, and many other health conditions. In regard to our skin, Turmeric can hydrate, reduce redness, fight off acne, eliminate dark circles, and reverse sun damage. It has also been found to reduce the appearance of stretch marks! Yes, STRETCH MARKS! Turmeric Face Masks are great for all skin types and can be used as frequently as you like. I would compare the glow provided by Turmeric to that of the glow that we embody in the Summertime. It brightens your skin in a way that I once thought only the sun could. Just like the others, Turmeric Face Masks are made up of 100% natural ingredients (I think Beyoncé would be proud). All you need is three (3) tablespoons of Turmeric and one (1) ounce of water.

Which one of these masks will be included in your next Self-Care Sunday?
