The Queen of NYFW: Dascha Polanco

Dominican Queen and Orange is the New Black star Dascha Polanco stepped out for New York Fashion week, and she did NOT come to play.

Based on her fits, her walks, her confidence, all captured in fierce videos she posted to Instagram, it is safe to say that out of all the celebrity appearances, she won the title for best dressed this Fall. 1. I Was Young and Needed Money

For her first look, Dascha shocked everyone with a gold sequin dress that read “I Was Young and Needed Money” in bold, black letters. The dress, made by House of MUA MUA definitely made a statement, and attributed to Dascha’s story in her rise to fame. Her black heels were by Stella Hues, complemented by her black-painted toes, and her hair was slicked back into a long, sleek, straight ponytail. We love it!

2. Pink Silk and Ruffles

For her second look, Dascha stepped out looking fierce and classy in a silk pink dress made by Bronx and Branco accompanied by Christian Louboutin shoes. The ruffled dress fit in all the right places, and showed off her vivacious curves. Her her her was styled in a super chic curly vibe, complementing the classy dress. What a look!

3. Black Mesh Black Bob

For her third look, Dascha popped out giving us sexy super-spy vibes in a black mesh dress over with a sharply cut black bob. The dress, by Wanda’s Dream, featured glitter accents along the black mesh, making the sexy dress look extra glamorous. Again, on her feet were a pair of Christian Louboutin’s. Get is sis!

4. Return of the Mack

Attributing to the Mark Morrison 1996 hit, Return of the Mack, Dascha hit the runway in a BOMB metallic dress, channeling Mark Morrison’s fashion sense. The dress, by Bronx and Banco had a sexy deep-V cut, and two leg cuts to show off her phenomenal legs. Her silver shoes, matching the metallic vibe, were by Ruthie Davis. She rocked a platinum blonde bob, a contrast to her black, but slaying both with ease. Arguably the most statement piece of the look, the feathered hat, was a DeCornia Hats original. How amazing was this look yáll!

5. Cleopatra Showgirl

Wow… how opulent is this look? Dascha did not come to play in her black bodysuit with gold and silver sequins by The Blonds. She complemented it with another pair of Ruthie Davis shoes, a gave us Micheal Jackson vibes with her silver gloves by Wing Weft Gloves. To top it all off, she wore the most opulent gold headpiece, a masterpiece again by The Blonds. Dascha did what she had to do, and more.

6. Barbie Girl

Dascha came through looking like an Afro-Latina barbie in her fifth look. With a ruffled pink top and fringe skirt by Le Piacentini , and hot pink gloves again by Wing Weft Gloves sis gave Barbie a run for her money. And the icing on the cake, Dascha brought back her signature hairstyle, long dark brown waves with blonde in the front. Just stunning!

7. Chocolate Bar

Dascha showed of to the Savage X Fenty fashion show dressed to the nines, looking like a giant chocolate bar! She popped out in a shiny chocolate-colored coat by Tibi complemented by a pair of Louis Vuitton booties, and her brown hair pulled back into a gorgeous half-up, half-down look. The most statement piece of the outfit, was easily the hat. By Flokatti, the hat mainly consisted of brown fringe, with an accent of black and white feathers to complement her shoes. Super eccentric and cute!
